When All You Want To Do Is Soak In The Summer

Anyone wanting to slow down a bit?  Anyone wishing they could just soak in those so-called lazy days of summer?

It’s so tempting to take the summer off, to let go of intentionality, to let your time with the Lord go unnoticed.

For that reason, I’m making it really easy this time around.

And by easy, I mean slower . . . with opportunities to simply sit, to breathe, to rest . . . to soak in His life-giving words.

I need that.  Anyone else?

Starting this Tuesday, June 18th, we are set to launch our third annual Summer Online Series, “A Summer to Soak”.   This series will be a 7-week study that you can do online from wherever your summer may take you.   We will look at ONE verse each week, a verse you are probably very familiar with.  Then…

  • we will sit in it, look at it’s meaning, it’s writer and intent
  • we will ask ourselves…do I really believe that, and do I live my life as if I believe it?
  • we will allow its words to soak into us, to transform us from the inside out…as only His words can do.

How does it work?  If you aren’t a regular here, click on the link to your upper right that asks for you to “Follow” with your email address.  Once you do that, you’ll get each week’s study dropped directly into your inbox

Easy, right?

Here’s the great thing about an online study.  You can connect with your friends and family members across the country, or around the world, and do this together.

Girlfriends, don’t check out this summer.

Soak in His goodness, His Truth.

Take time to rest . . . with Him.

See you on Tuesday . . .

Such a God-thing that my blog post today goes right along with this! I am looking forward to receiving the study. Found your blog from your comment on Lisa-Jo Baker’s site.

Really looking forward to this … but curious what time of day to look for it? I work full-time, so was hoping to find it here early this a.m. to enjoy before the busy/crazy starts. That will really help ME personally to slow down (knowing when I can count on finding it here to get a good start on my day).
